The FOUR most important things about UPSELLING…

December 5th, 2008

Hmm… You know what I think when I am thinking about upselling… I think we haven’t been upselling enough. OK, maybe the thought of upselling makes you wanna puke… But you can’t deny that upselling makes you more money…

There’s nothing wrong with upselling. It’s just that you have to do it right.

Upselling could be the difference between earning $10k to earning $100k. It’s not about taking advantage of your customers. It’s about making valuable recommendation and increasing your per customer value…

Even the big corps upsell. And there’s no reason why you should not do it.

Amazon.com upsells… When you browse through books at Amazon.com, Amazon will always make a recommendation. It says something like, “Best Value – Buy Together Today: $19.36″ or maybe “Frequently Bought Together”.. and Amazon will suggest one or two more books to buy with the current book you checking out for a good discount.

GoDaddy.com upsells… GoDaddy will always have something for you to add to your shopping cart. If you are taking the dot-com, GoDaddy will recommend the dot-net, dot-org and the rest. GoDaddy will also recommend other premium domains. If you are buying mywebsite.com, they’ll recommend premium domains like thiswebsitetoo.com or yourwebsite.com…

The thing is with the Internet marketing niche, the only upsell that you normally see is the one-time-offer (OTO). And having seen one too many times, you really feel sick of it.

You know what, OTO is not the only way to upsell…

I am about to share with you how you can effectively upsell when selling ebooks or any other digital downloadable products. But before that, let me take you through some of the important concepts…

4 Best Strategies To Creating Affiliate Bonuses And Cashing In Bigger Commission Checks

November 27th, 2008

As an affiliate, when you are up against hundreds of other top affiliates promoting the same things, you final resort is creating irresistible bonuses to lure customers to you instead of your competitors.

In this article, I will share with you quick, easy yet powerful bonus creation strategies so you can capture a bigger piece of the pie, and get yourself bigger affiliate commission checks.

Before jumping into these strategies, I want to give a some general rules that really works with creating affiliate bonuses. I see that some marketers simply pickup PLR products and just throw them at their potential customers. The thing is, those PLR products do not hold any add-on value to that main product they are promoting.

Compliment, that is the word. What ever it is that you offer as your bonus, it has to compliment, enhance, better, work together, or at relate back to your main offer. It makes me laugh when people offer something that really has nothing to do with what they are promoting in the first place.

So, these strategies that I am about to share with you will do just that. And because of that, these are the best affiliate bonus creation strategies.

High Quality Private-Label Video Products By Stephen Luc And Edmund Loh

November 4th, 2008

If you have been keeping your eyes open, you’ll realize that products on the Internet are moving into videos. eBooks are great. They serve its purpose. But videos get people to act, get more conversion, and people want it…

The problem is, to produce a high quality videos without the errr, hmm, or other hiccups, with quality video editing and professional voice over talent… it’s both time-consuming and expensive.

What if you can get your hands on top quality videos that are ready to be sold with private-label rights??

Stephen Luc and Edmund Loh just released a series of high quality PLR videos and I think you should check this out. Each set of videos comes with its own sales website, Powerpoint presentation, AVI and also Flash format.

PLR Gold Videos – High quality private-label video products

Because this is PLR (private label rights), you can do pretty much anything you want with them. And with the AVI version, you can. You can encode them into a VCD or a DVD. And with that, you can sell them on eBay, use Kunaki, sell it offline, sell it at the back table in seminars, use it for your own offline seminars, and many more if you can get creative.

Apart from the selling the videos, you can use them as additional instructional videos to your own product, or your membership site. You can also use them as bonus for other products are to promote affiliate programs.

And with the Powerpoint, you can even expand the existing package with more videos. You can use the Powerpoint as a template and make sure you will be in the same theme with the other videos.

Having a good sure is handy. And I urge you to take a look at this one. Because this really is of high quality, and will be worth the price.

Repackaging Private Label Rights (PLR) – A Weekend Project To $1116.25

September 22nd, 2008

I bought a new private label rights (PLR) product recently. And five days later, I pocketed $1116.25 (gross). Sorry, I am not going to reveal what it is at the moment. Perhaps later. It’s not an ebook. It’s a set of videos. I thought that selling videos is better than selling ebooks. It holds higher perceived value and if I sell them cheap, I can really get a lot of sales.

And topic itself, I thought the topic and the content fits my readers, and it also fits with my own personal experience. I believe that this is going to be a good sale.

PHP-Javascript Countdown Script With Timezone Setting

September 11th, 2008

Get Offer Countdown

Marketers all over the Internet has been using countdown scripts and pre-launches to build anticipation. And it’s a great strategy to build interest around your product while creating buzz.

I am sure you can find a few if you Google for it. But here’s the problem with most of those scripts. It runs on your visitor’s computer clock…

You may have set your countdown at a specific date and time like 10 September 2008, 9.00 am. But you didn’t set the timezone? Without that answer, a visitor in Sydney, Australia may see the countdown ending 17 hours earlier than people in New York, USA. The guy in Australia could see that the countdown ended when your website is not ready yet — you don’t want that!

The safest method for this is to make sure that your script uses the date and time of your server, one specific clock that everyone refers to, and not time from the visitors’ personal computer. So some server-side programming like PHP is required.

Alright, obviously I have a solution for you.

Free Report – The Biggest Open Secret (About Increasing Online Sales)

June 12th, 2008

I spent the last few days putting this short report together. Maybe I am taking too much time for a short 30-page rambling. I guess I am not a pro writer. I know that some of you can put together a 30-page report in just a few hours, clean, error free (no grammatical errors). I guess, that’s just the time that I need then… almost a week.

But anyway, I want to share with you about how to increase your online sales. So I sat down and started tapping the keyboard on my notebook. I thought it was going to be a 10-page report, but it turned into a 30-page ebook.

In the ebook, I shared a few tips and strategies on how you can increase your online sales. I talked about copywriting, crafting offers, PPC, web design… oh yea, also the Biggest Open Secret to increasing online sales.

I managed to put in some examples in there. The good ones, the bad ones, and the stupid ones.

I think you can finish this in 10 minutes. And I hope it’s going to be enjoyable read.

When you are done, please leave me a comment, send trackbacks from your blog and refer others to download it too.

One last thing, a shout out to Stephanie Trahd – thank you for editing this report for me.

Box Shot 3D Review: Can An eBook Cover Software Create Better Graphics Than Photoshop?

April 12th, 2008

eBook cover software that I have seen in the past, the graphics that they generate were never up to par. Though claiming to use a 3D rendering engine, graphics created by ebook cover software are always very flat in color, very poor in lighting effects, and also very rough around the edges.

Your product graphic deosn’t look real at all. So you never really get to have that nice, photo-realistic ebook cover graphic.

I can name a few names, but I think you can easily do a few Google search and find them.

That is why I have always used Photoshop for my ebook covers. With Photoshop, you can apply filters, styles, effects and you will have a nicer, more real looking ebook covers.

But in the past two weeks, I have been checking out another ebook cover software. I make it appoint to check the sample output graphics before I check out the software more thoroughly. What I saw surprised me. It is nothing like what I have seen from any other ebook cover software.

My first thought was, “No way! They must have use Photoshop, GIMP and Paintshop Pro for this.”

But that was just my thought. I still don’t know the truth. So I thought I’d check it out. I downloaded the trial version and tried it out. And what do you know, they do generate nicer ebook cover graphics. I am so happy with their e-covers that I upgraded from a trial version to a full version.

And the software is called Box Shot 3D.
